Rate My Clinic helps allied health clinic owners understand their business, improve its value, prepare for exit and navigate the sale process with greater confidence.

Founded by Paul Hedges, Rate My Clinic combines more than 20 years of clinic ownership with practical experience in assessment, coaching, valuation, exit preparation and clinic sales.

Paul Hedges

Paul is the founder of Rate My Clinic and co-owner of a successful South Australian physiotherapy practice.

An experienced management consultant and certified trainer, Paul brings more than 25 years of business ownership, leadership and advisory experience. Before focusing on allied health, he held several senior corporate management roles, including State Director for Optus Business, Regional Manager SA/WA for AAPT and State Manager for Dimension Data.

Paul created Rate My Clinic to provide allied health clinic owners with a clearer, more objective view of their businesses and practical support to improve performance and value. He now works directly with clinic owners through business assessments, coaching, exit preparation, valuation guidance and the Seller’s Advocate service.

Paul holds a Graduate Certificate in Business and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.

James Meldrum

Non-Executive Director

James is the co-owner of a psychology practice and an executive at Kudos. He brings more than 20 years of management experience across disability, allied health, employment services, occupational rehabilitation, aged care and community services.

James is also a Non-Executive Director of Shine SA. He holds qualifications in business and is a Chartered Manager with the Institute of Managers and Leaders.

Philip Paysden

Philip is General Manager of one of Australia’s leading workplace health organisations and has held senior management roles within the sector for more than 15 years.

He also brings hands-on small-business experience, including growing a dental practice into a group of clinics that was subsequently sold to private equity.
